Bundesverband Glasindustrie e.V.

No other country in Europe has as many glass-producing companies as Germany. The voice of these companies is Bundesverband Glasindustrie e.V.. As the umbrella organization of the German glass industry, it represents around 80 percent of glass manufacturing companies in Germany and represents their environmental, energy and economic policy interests.

Tasks and objectives

Bundesverband Glasindustrie e.V. is the central point of contact for all questions relating to glass.

One of its most important tasks is to provide users and decision-makers from industry, trade and commerce, as well as opinion leaders from science, research, politics, the media and consumers with important information about the German glass industry and glass as a material. In addition, Bundesverband Glasindustrie e.V. represents the interests of its member companies in public. For example, it coordinates and agrees on the development of joint national or international standards for the glass industry. The task of the Federal Association of the Glass Industry is also to show how original, individual and versatile the material glass can be used. In addition, the umbrella organization is an important national and international representative for the German glass-producing industry in all important areas of economic policy.
